The Ice Stone has melted

And in other news - the snow is mostly gone round SG8 way, but where it was lying undisturbed on our front lawn, most of the grass is still covered.

(Patch? This morning's patch? Nope, not yet fixed.)

Paper doesn't change

Well, of course, paper does change. But for those of us used to the evanescence and volatility of the intaweb, it can be amusing to see printed matter getting out of date.

In particular, I note two items in the latest issue of Vector.

1) The back cover ad for NewCon 5. Sadly, this event has been postponed, but the ad cheerily still lists its original date.

2) An actual web link to an article on [livejournal.com profile] nhw's LJ ... which is now known as [livejournal.com profile] nwhyte. Luckily, the old journal name still works, but at some stage, it will presumably get reused by someone else.

ETA: Since as [livejournal.com profile] happydisciple points out, those two links are showing up the same, I should point out that the first one was entered (and is editable for me) as 'nhw'.

The Ice Stone is no longer melting

Yes, it's now snowing solidly again.

I did not expect this when I left home this morning.
