On doors. And keys.

Yesterday morning, on leaving the house, I was convenienced by the fact my keys were still in the front door lock.

This morning, I noticed the back door was unlocked and not actually latched.

I'm wondering whether to leave my keys in the ignition tonight.

After this last weekend (Picon in London, Caro's birthday gathering in Cambridge, and then a Sunday barbeque in Oxfnord), forgetting one or two things was probably to be expected.

When living on Ross Street, I came home after work one day to notice that the front door was ajar. Given that it was a Romsey house opening directly onto the pavement, I was happy to find no evidence of anybody actually entering.
