After yesterday's conclusion to the interminable Isner-Mahut tennis match, the zombie theme has been going round my head.

And somewhat inevitably, it has come up with

The Zombies of Wimbledon Common: strange creatures emerge from their shelters and keep Wimbledon Common tidy by collecting and recycling passers-by.

I first asked her back in late 1994, on alt.fan.pratchett, before I'd actually met her. On that occasion, she merely blushed prettily.

I next asked her on the 1st March 1996, in Avignon, just to confirm that she hadn't been momentarily confused when she'd taken advantage of the previous day's date to ask me.
