Unexpected amazon recommendations ...

Dear Amazon.com Customer,
We've noticed that customers who have purchased or rated Nurk: The Strange, Surprising Adventures of a (Somewhat) Brave Shrew by Ursula Vernon have also purchased The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle by Jim Butcher.

[livejournal.com profile] mizkit? Is that you?

New Dresden Files? Why was I not informed of this?

I blame [livejournal.com profile] mizkit: she's nicked his illustrator and all hell has broken loose. The Alaskans are trying to take over.

Actually, technically speaking, HE nicked mizkit's illustrator. Or more accurately, she brought Ardian to the attention of those in power. Ardian was drawing Chance before he was drawing Harry.

Aha.

Though it does look like he'll be published in this before Chance comes out.

[livejournal.com profile] slovobooks brought a catalogue showing the Dabel Brothers' page promoting Chance along to Octocon for [livejournal.com profile] mizkit to see - the page also mentioned (in somewhat smaller panels) the Dresden ones. That may be why I had the mental assumption that Ardian was already established on the Dresden line.

Collection of the four-part comic story set just before Storm Front, of which the comic adaptation is now ongoing. Certain Amazon sites have listed it as a new novel. This was irritating.

The artist (Ardian Syaf) on this is the same as in [livejournal.com profile] mizkit's Chance. Hence my picking up the connection.
