Apologies

For those who may have been expecting to see us this weekend, my apologies. But I had a bad cold (what women often refer to as 'flu), and had no desire to inflict it on all you lot.

With luck, next weekend should be sniffle free.

Oh, they're just humouring the women.

Grin!

Yes, it's usually phrased the otherway around, that for what Women would refer to as a mild cold with sniffles, a man would declare that he had flu.

Of course if we swop it around, then the mild sniffles you had could (in a non-PC world) be described as "bird flu" (g, d & r v.fast!)

the mild sniffles you had [..]

Oh trust me, it wasn't a mild sniffle. And now I'm coming down with it :-(

Oh, damn.

Sorry dear. At least you should be mostly upright come Friday evening at the Sheene Mill.

From the Sheene Mill website:

Sheene Mill is an exquisite 17th century water mill, which dates back to the Doomsday Book.

I wonder what it was in the intervening 6 centuries?

Probably burnt down a time or two.

(Yes, I did use to live in a former water mill, why do you ask?)
