Good grief, it seems that they're dropping like flies: Brian 'Foggy' Wilde has died.

Maybe it's this really, really horrible weather at the moment (though that wouldn't account for ACC).

I'd not actually realised he was, so to speak, still alive. And you know, I hadn't realised he was Barraclough in Porridge.

Not actually my favourite in Last of the Summer Wine (that will always be Clegg, because I love Peter Sallis so much) but probably my second favourite.

I don't watch it any more; it got too silly and cluttered with other characters.

We'd not watched it for a long time. But it's like a lot of things - one often retains a great sense of affection for some things even when one has moved on to new enthusiasms and no longer pursue them any more.

I think she has it spot on. I don't watch that very often, but it is an occasional guilty pleasure!
