This is a collection of pieces by Mike Harding, who is best known as a comic and musician. It's got some short, Milliganesque stories, silly sketches, poems and/or song lyrics, and is a real hotch-potch. It's also not very long, so by the time you've skipped the bits that don't catch your fancy, it's a quick read. Not great. not dire, just amusing in parts.

Apropos of nothing, I can remember watching his "One night in Lincoln" show, which featured the song used for the title. Very funny. :)
