I'm sorry, orkut didn't tell me about it.

So, hypothetically speaking, Happy Birthday.

What *is* orkut? I've heard about it a half dozen times now.

Ah, it's one of those Google offshoots. Designed for tracking friends. Have a look at the orkut.com web site.

(Weird name? Yep. Named for the first name of the guy whose idea it was. His surname was a complete non-starter.)

Website says bery little, except "Nyeh nyeh, you can't join us unless you know someone in here".

[identity profile] bellinghman.livejournal.com 2004-05-11 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
Which you do ... except to invite, I'd need to know your email address.

(Follow up with it and I'll delete the comment once I've seen it)

Hmm, are birthday reminders an LJ feature, or from somewhere else?

[identity profile] rillaith.livejournal.com 2004-05-11 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
And LJ but without the reminders.

..sorry to disappoint, but today is Tom's birthday. :o)

Mind you, I think he's off staring at stars in France somewhere, so you've probably got away with it.

(Bloody people who delete their Orkut accounts! Tsk!)

Well, if he doesn't have a LJ account either, what am I to do?
