Oh crap!
We've just been past the Yim Wah (the Chinese Restaurant at Caxton Gibbet that we,
furrfu and
bslsimes have been to). And the fire engines are still there, still spraying water on the building, gone midnight. It's still smoking, and the roof has gone.
It caught alight sometime during the day, according to the earlier BBC report.

Oh damn indeed ...
They have a premise in central Cambridge (somewhere near Cherry Hinton Road I think) that they have been renovating for a while ... but had no plans to move forward with for a while (money I think) ... maybe this will spur them into getting that one open?
Good food, perfectly pleasant service, was looking forward to going back there ... :-(

Google maps here
(Goodness, their picture is old. It doesn't even show the start of roadworks for the A4218 dualling, which has been complete for a year or two.)

It's a real shame: the place has obviously had a decent amount of money spent on it, and it showed.
I'm assuming it wasn't an insurance job, because they didn't seem short of customers on the occasions we visited, despite their distance from any housing. With Cambourne swelling, and being the only decent Chinese establishment within sensible reach of that town, their future should have been assured.
