Dear Auntie

Despite the title of your article Iran's flying boats go on display at sea, I don't believe Iran actually has a squadron of flying boats.

They do, however, appear to have one of small ekranoplans.

I recall a similar article about the Taleban's answer to Predator. It was a 1 metre, bright yellow foam model powered by an ex-cd motor of the type you can buy at a toy shop near you (and I write as an aeromodeller of long standing) Range? About 200 metres. Payload? Maybe 50 grams. Great for flying in the park and toffee bombing your kids, but a kamikaze threat? Perhaps not so much. But when did mere facts matter much to British journalists?
