We've had two summers this year. It's just that neither were in the supposed summer months.

Ditto. Just walked into town and back and now I feel like I need a shower; London the other day was even worse, having to haul luggage around. Ugh. Definitely looking forward to some cooler weather in Exeter this weekend.

Oh, BTW, bellinghwoman is working with the University Library folks today, so won't be over at Greenwich House. That means her work number won't be much use today.

I suspect that you two should arrange to meet at the UL, if you've not already worked something out.

Fairly typical for round here, isn't it? I remember sweltering through my first week of term as a fresher having brought only winter clothing with me. I assumed it was just 'cos it was warmer down south.

Ah, but at that point you were still acclimatised to the North. Now, it's hot even for those that have lived down here for decades.
