This completes the story started in Hammered. And by the end, it's been quite a ride; the trilogy is really one story cut into three volumes rather than being original and sequels, so do read all the parts together, and in order. There's not much more I can tell about the story, not without introducing major spoilers to the previous volumes, but this is definitely not fluff. Characters do die in this story. Political deals happen. Good doesn't always win, and fine motives are not reserved to the 'good guys', nor baser impulses always to the opponents. And when people do sacrifice themselves, or are prepared to (after all, it's the thought that counts, yes?), it means something.

Lousy covers, though. Striking, but Genevieve Casey is supposed to be a battered, 50 year old military veteran. But what the heck, they'll probably tempt the readers in.

The conclusion to a stunning story.
