Ooof - and that's now up to date with the reviews, so you lot will stop getting huge lists of them appearing in your friends' pages for a while.

It's an interesting exercise - writing the capsule reviews, working out why I like them (or not) is making me think a bit more about them than I normally do. Usually I just read for the pleasure, and not to try to work out what I'm getting out of them.

On the other hand, I definitely need to get to a bookshop again, soon. I've got one unread book left before I start going back through the library looking for stuff I've either not read yet (not many of those left, after living with the [livejournal.com profile] bellinghwoman for so long) or that I've not read for sufficiently long that they've become fresh again.

Before Giftmas, I was on a great C J Cherryh binge, but we're definitely going to have to index all the books, because I'm damned if I can find some of them.
