Hotels in the new world of the Intaweb
Feb. 22nd, 2011 11:40 amI've just received an email from the hotel at which we will be staying in a few weeks.
In it, they tell me the access code for the outer door.
And they tell me the code for the security safe, in which I will find the key for our room.
I'm boggling slightly.
This is all in case we arrive when reception is closed, you understand. But on Sundays, reception is only open for 8 hours.
(I'm also quite impressed that they take the trouble to tell me this in reasonably good English - only the boilerplate is French.)
For the record, this is not the first time we've been to this hotel, but this is the first time I've had this.
