Feb. 10th, 2005 09:41 amWoW has arrived. Quite a solid little package, with 4 CDs (about par for the course, though Half Life 2 more sensibly came on a DVD), and a 200+ page manual.
I can see myself taking the manual off to Basel for light reading. I've yet to finish HL2, though I suspect I'm nearing the end, and I'll probably want to finish that before registering WoW and getting into the free first month WoW subscription.
One thing I note - the packaging for WoW is a nicely produced shrink-wrapped velcro-tab-closure box. Inside is a shrink-wrapped plastic case containing the CDs and the manual. Presumably, in a few months when the game becomes cheaper in the shops, they'll just drop the outer box to bring the packaging cost down.
