I've just dispatched the following to SFX magazine, in response to a DVD film review in their latest edition:

Your lad Guy Haley finished his review of 'The Sword of Xanten' by telling us not to be scared away by the name of Uwe Boll on the credits, and that it's actually pretty good.

It's OK, we won't be scared, mostly because we won't see Boll's name. The name Guy was seeing was that of Uli Edel. German, yes, but the author not of 'Blood Rayne', 'Alone in the Dark' and 'House of the Dead', but rather of 'Christiane F', 'Last Exit to Brooklyn' and 'The Little Vampire'.

So it's OK, Guy -- you didn't just award four stars to an Uwe Boll film. But pay attention, next time!

You know, if I were involved with this production (I'm not, but I know some who were), I would be very peeved. Except, possibly, for Kristanna Loken, who is in both this and Blood Rayne.
