Benedict XVI attends mass?
Jul. 18th, 2006 11:54 amSometimes, just sometimes, I find an article that makes me boggle: Clone 'would feel individuality'.
Good grief, how on earth could anyone imagine that a human clone wouldn't feel individuality? The thesis that they wouldn't is so obviously trivially disprovable that no serious scientist should spend more than half a millisecond considering it. A clone is no closer genetically to its cohort than identical twins are to each other. The only different the article can point out is that clones may be born longer apart (and with embryo freezing, even that's no longer a biggie). Yet twins are definitely individuals, and just as much so as any other sibling pairs.
(I speak as one with twin sisters, twin uncles and a triplet for an ex wife, though none identical.)
