Well, perhaps not, but it appears that the peripateticity of my ancestors took them further south from Louth than just Dublin.

It seems one Edward Bellingham was resident at Leighlinbridge Castle in 1547. Next time I'm in the region, I'll have to track it down.

It's fairly easy to find, not least 'cos the main road south from Carlow (the N9) runs through the area. But really, I'd stop heading south, clanwilliam spent too much in Carlow, but you wouldn't want to end up finding ancestors in her home county as well!

It's not likely to happen this year, and probably not next, unless we do what we've done before which is to take the ferry to Rosslare with clanwilliam and gmh, swinging past her parents.

But if we're down your way, we'll let you know.
