Confusing street names

I've just looked at the map of Carpenterstown in Dublin.
Apparently the locals get a little confused as to which street is which. I don't know why - it's not as though anyone would have difficulty remembering the difference between Riverwood Road, Riverwood Court, Riverwood Copse, Riverwood Dene, Riverwood Chase, Riverwood Glebe, Riverwood Glen, Riverwood Drive, Riverwood Grove, Riverwood Park, Riverwood Gardens, Riverwood View, Riverwood Lawn, Riverwood Way, Riverwood Heath, Riverwood Crescent, Riverwood Place, Riverwood Dale and Riverwood Vale, and Riverwood Green.
Now, if one of those had been Riverworld instead, I could have understood.

Date: 2010-08-04 06:09 am (UTC)(Graan voor Visch = grain for fish. Or possibly grain before fish. There may be a deep joke there, as the Haarlemmermeerpolder where Schiphol and Hoofddorp and all that stuff now are, presumably including waving fields of grain, used to be the Haarlemmermeer. A lake, with fish, and boats, and terrible storms that'd threaten the lake to break its banks and invade nearby Haarlem & Amsterdam.)
