Which I hate, because trying to do code design, and getting interrupted, doesn't help me at all.

(Normal guy who'd be doing this is off in Praha today, installing phase 1 of the software on whose phase 2 I'm working.)

I think you've got a typo - isn't it traditionally spelled "hell desk"?
