And that's done
Badges designed, printed, guillotined, folded, laminated, punched, sorted and packed.
ETA: I should point out that the largest portion of this work was done by
bellinghwoman, who did all the guillotine, folding and punching work.

(About 90 minutes ago actually, eaten something and just turned the PC on.)
And yes, I will say again that your assistance in this matter has been greatly appreciated.

Can I change my badge name now? ;)

(But why you should be unhappy with what your badge currently says, I dunno. Admittedly, the lettering is a little on the small side, what with the 250 characters, but I do think it admirably describes you.)

The Friday deadline makes sense if you're doing envelope label printing then for the stuffing the following day. A handful of extra badges will take almost no time at all, compared to the ~1300 done yesterday (800 members, and loads of generics for gophers, watch, etc.).
In theory, you could keep membership open almost to the very end if you were prepared to do the main bulk of the envelopes on Saturday, and do any extra by hand. But there's little point in doing so, and you do need to finalise membership some time, just so you have things like complete lists for the voodoo board and the like.

The current badges are prettier, too, what with colour inkjets.

Whether there'll be one in two years time is, even more than usual, up in the air, but I'd hope there will be, even if Terry is unable to commit.
