It's bad enough that there are puppy farms, but it seems that in this modern age, nothing is sacred. I refer you to the following headline as seen on the BBC News website:

ETA: Come to think of it, it might be a possible solution for the upland farms that can't make sheep pay. Those children raised on the high fells should make excellent chimney sweeps, and the Peak District would also profit from a ready source of youngsters to work in cotton mills reopened for the authentic tourist experience.

Well you never know what germs you might catch off them.

Why do they need to receive visitors? *furrfu*

Think of the poor child farmers, constanty being interrupted by city folks asking if dark-haired children are more ripe than blond ones.

Well, where did you think "baby oil" came from?

You know, I had thought of them being raised at pets, not as raw materials.

A few nights ago, I had a weird dream. I encountered a friendly group of vampires, who had a small baby with them that they were making a fuss of. A little while later, I was served some meat with a nice crackling on the outside. I think that's the first time I've eaten long pig in a dream.

(It tasted good, for what it's worth, but what my subconscious was trying to say, I haven't a clue. My main emotion was one of social embarassment.)

Hmmm. This does raise the question: do vampires cook baby?

Well, once they've finished with it, it would be a waste not to.

Now I just need a dream interpreter to tell me WTF it all meant.

For dreams like that, I go with "neurological garbage collection."
