Collector's Edition?

Now that WoW Cataclysm has an official release date, it seems that the collector's edition is for sale via Play.com. I wonder how many will sell at that price.

Blimey, I'm glad Simes preordered it when he did with them, at a much much reduced price than that.

Well, there is Amazon UK if you want it a smidgeon cheaper.

I had been wondering how Play.com's price was going to compare to the Amazon one. Now that it has finally appeared, well!

I wonder how/why play think they can get away with such a huge price rise since we preordered. I will get Simes to check his order so he doesn't get a nasty shock.

Yes, I phone play's hotline and they confirmed that the price you ordered at is the price they must honor.

If it's genuine, it must have been due to some sort of exclusive distribution deal between Blizz and Amazon.

Indeed so. I was holding off ordering it from Amazon till I saw the prices available elsewhere. But this was just silly.

That's not Play selling it for that much, it's a third party seller using the Playtrade marketplace.

Although I don't do the WoW thing, I thought it looked like a pretty crumby Special Edition, but then as a person with poor vision, art books do little for me. Soundtracks on the other hand ...
