Oops. I will apologise now on his behalf, as I believe he is unlikely to be able to get online until he gets home tomorrow night. Be gentle with him; tomorrow marks his 50th day at work without a day off and he's a bit distracted.

I think you're right - 9 months from mid-Sept would be mid-June??

Counting the other way gives half of June plus July, August and half of September to make the other three months.

D'oh! Yes you are both right - it's August. Mind you, it could be November if the child in question is the first-born - it used to be said that many first-born came 3 months premature (in a nudge-nudge sort of way, as so often they were born only 6 months after their parent's wedding) :-)
