We appear to have a jay living nearby. It being a species I've only rarely noticed (their ecological niche seeming being occupied by magpies in most places I've lived), I'm quite chuffed at this.
Pardon me if I'm not exactly raven at your joke there, so don't trying crowing at me.
(Royston's town emblem is the hooded crow. Ironically, the first time I saw one of those corvidae was hopping around the verges at one of the Berlin zoos. I've certainly never seen one here. Oh, it also appears on the North Herts council crest. Since Royston is at the very top of Herts, it's appropriate that the crow sits above the two harts.)
