bellinghmanRoyston has a new restaurant, one doing modern British cuisine, and we wandered along there tonight.
I'm rather glad I booked, as I'm not sure if I've ever noted a place quite so full of a Monday evening, though the fact they have a special, lower price menu on Monday evenings may just have something to do with it. Nice food, chatty staff, and not at all expensive for what they serve. They turned out to be out of Monbazillac to go with the dessert, but recommended a Maury instead, which was a red Grenache-based dessert wine. Rather interesting, and it went quite well.
