The second is supposedly the Värmlander way of saying "On the island is a river, and in the river an island".

Date: 2006-06-09 01:43 pm (UTC)Run the second through a "from dialect" filter and you end up with "På ön är en å och i ån är en ö" (I suppose the substituted o might be better as an o-caret, whatever those are as HTML entities, but an å is close enough).
